Harris County Final Appraisal Values for 2018

This week the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) completed its final round of updates to property values in the county for 2018. With this data we are now able to see a more clear picture of the impact that Harvey had on property values in the Houston metroplex.

Quick Rundown of the Numbers

  • A total of 207,602 homes had a negative change in Market Value
  • This combined for a total of a $1.8 Billion loss in Market Value
  • 33 Zip Codes had a negative change in Market Value
  • Out of these, zip code 77079 had the biggest loss at $395 Million
  • Zip Code 77084 had the most homes impacted, with 25,989 homes having a negative change in Market Value

Zip Code 77079 had the biggest impact in terms of Market Value loss.

 

Zip Code 77084 had the most homes with a loss in Market Value.
